Well folks it was a pleasant surprise to arrive back from my holiday to find the old, and in some respects jaded, SEHSCDS website had effectively been replaced by this great new venture.
I would like to say a very big personal thank you to Phil and Kerry for all the work they have clearly put into developing and launching the new website. I was delighted to be able to spend a few hours yesterday evening with both of them talking about the structure of the site and how it might be maintained in future. I learnt a lot in a shortwhile but there is clearly a lot more I need to get to grips with.
Unlike the old website, for which I was only person responsible for updates, this new site provides a real opportunity for other approved members of the Society to play a direct part in its management. It will now be up to the SEHSCDS Committee to confirm who takes on the various responsibilities.
Any comments or new ideas would certainly be welcome. Meanwhile log-in regularly and see how things develop.
